Sumitomo HTR+ still Questionable?

I ran some HTR+ a few years ago and liked them. Only downside is that they wore out in the middle (but after 28k miles). 3 years ago folks were having all kinds of problems like uneven wear, abnormally fast wear, and bubbles. Anybody know if they're still kinda spotty w/ regards to quality, or did they get it right?

Not sure on wear or durability as i had them for about a week and couldn't stand how soft and spongy the performance was. I am on coilovers and i felt like it was unsafe. So i took them back and got bridgestones..

I know someone who has em on a 2002 WRX and they wore quickly (he's not that aggressive of a driver either, although that's subjective, I know) and they are LOUD once you get under 50% tread. None of the other issues you mentioned though.

They are good for the price. That's about it.
