Is the Toyo Proxes4 noisy?

A friend who runs a tire shop told me the Proxes4 are noisy and that some customers have returned them. Has that been anyone's experience in the 17 inch size? thx

Is the "noise" the only reason that customers returned the tires? I've had them on my car for over a year (in 18") and am quite pleased with their behavior (road and noise-wise).

they make a very low-volume whirring sound (like being on an airliner cruising across the ocean, but much quieter). I actually like the sound. Other than that they are the quietest tires I've owned on this car.

Just got them installed. I don't hear a thing..either I'm getting old or they are that quiet.

No noise issues from mine. I've run mine the past two summers. Proxes 4's perform beautifully!

I had them on my Honda in the 17" version, very quiet tires. I think your boy may be mistaken....

No issues with mine that I remember. They were 19's even and one of the best I've owned other than the T1r's I replaced them with.
