Nail in tire
It will be okay...I mean I left a screw in my tire for the longest. Because I never noticed it until I took the rim off.
But get it fixed for the peace of mind you'll have.
Discount Tire patched my tire and also balanced it FREE of charge. So call around to see how much if any people are charging. It's usually around $15

if you can get it done free why not? When you take it to the shop they unmount the tire and patch it from the inside, which IMO is safer.

Definitely the best route to go. Where is the nail? If it's too close the the sidewall, it can't be patched.
