Fellow SlickDealer, maybe? I was browsing their site earlier, seems a lot of people noticed price increases over the last few months... I know this isn't the case for the Azenis RT-615 in 225/50/16, though.

Usually on FW

Good deal for most people who dont need the high end tires due to some price increases

My mom's Civic:

(4) Yokohama AVID H4S P185/60R-14 82H BW $64.00 $256.00
Valve Stems $3.00 $12.00
$100 Online Order Savings -$200.00
FREE UPS Ground Shipping $0.00
TOTAL $216.00

thats a good deal if you buy wheels and tires. i was thinkin about the 17x8 MB wheels weapon that way 20lbs each as beater wheels for $700 out the door w/ tires but not sure if they will clear my calipers....

also you would have to pay about $50 for installation and balancing if you just get tires.

what kind of tires do y'all recomend? i need 6 245/35-19, 2 235/35-19, and 4 235/45-17. the only requirement is that 2 of the 245/35-19 match the 2 235/35-19. i was thinking the falken st-115.

912's are supposed to be upgraded version of 512's (should only be a buck or 2 more)

no but keep in mind that u want to keep your overall diameter the same as stock or close, otherwise major power and brake loss

Nah you'll be geared a little up but you won't notice much of a difference in overall power. Brakes may be a little worse but nothing noticeable either.

Trust me, I just went from 245/45 to 245/50.

Bought some Falken 912's and OEM steel wheels for my mother's camry...heres how it went

Falken 912's = $60 x 4
OEM Steelies 15x6.5 = $39 x 4
Valve Stems = $3 x 4

$408 - $200 in savings = $208 shipped to my door

I would just buy the tires/valve stems at $152 shipped and have some local tire shop install them...but I said screw it...I wouldn't mind paying $208 ready to bolt on tires...than pay $152 PLUS paying a tire shop to mount and balance...and the hassle of carrying the tires and waiting for them to mount and balance...too much work :P

or maybe i'm just lazy

Ah man, this is why I envy hondas etc sometimes. You can get ~27lbs per corner with good rubber for like $700.

I just ordered the 512.. I liked the reivews that it had even though the 912 had a higher mileage guarantee. I wasnt even ready to buy but i figured for 344shipped i had to buy them..

27lbs per corner? How much do steel 15x6.5s weigh generally? I believe the 4g maxima came with 15x6.5 (or was it 15x6) steel wheels? How much do they weigh?

I know the 912 is my size (215/65/15) weighs 23lbs...or 24lbs...I forgot exactly...I checked the website earlier today

Insane I just bought 4 ZE912's in 225/50/17 off disounttires on ebay on a pricematch for $354 shipped on Sept 22, now they are $268 shipped , WOW, I emailed asking for a credit sayingh I would be a buyer for life. So far I really like these 912's, very very good in rain and dry hoping they last unlike the 512's. Almost thinking of a 2nd set and throw in garage. The I can just burn these off, lol

are you planning to get tires/wheels or just tires?

i wish DTD has a more user friendly website...I love tirerack's interface much more than DTD...also I wished that DTD's selection was more like tirerack's...DTD carries a bunch of brands I never even heard of...

i've spent myself into a corner. now i have to calm down and prioritize. since none of my wheels are even on cars i don't think it is worth it to drop $1400 on tires that are just gonna be taking up space. might grab the 245/35-19 for moms, but thats it.

IIRC steelies are surprisingly heavy, maybe like 23-25lbs?

The 27lbs per corner would be for 15x7 Falken Hanabis (11lbs) and 205/50ZR15 Toyo T1-Rs (awesome tires, 16lbs). It would be $500 shipped with this discount.

my vote gets z33 tracks...however if you plan to get 18x8.5 all around...it will be harder to find them...as most members on forums sell them staggered 18x8 and 18x8.5

where did you find falken hanabis? i only saw them on edge racing's website...no DTD...and iirc, they don't have any 15 inch hanabis in our size...only 4 bolt patterns...

according to tirerack, they are rated #7 out of all the UHP all season tires...

my rule of thumb is, if the tire is rated out of the top 5 in it's category, then generally it is a good tire....if it's rated top 10, then I'm sure it's above avg
