Tires that wont rub?

I'm kind of new to buying tires (20 and never bought a single tire, ha) i have a 99 SE-l, it has s-tech springs, 2" drop all around i do believe and it has G35 5 spoke 17's on it. I'm experiencing some rubbing on the 215/55/17s turanzas that came on the car, but what im asking is where should i change the size at in the tire to avoid rubbing if i want to keep my 17s and springs? thanks

Find out where its rubbing, small tires will not solve all your issues...if its in the rear outer fender lip then you can roll your fenders to remedy that...we can't really give you suggestions over a computer screen, its just impossible....

so like 215/50/17s wouldnt help eliminate the problem, i think its like the inner fender well on the front tires. i mean its not like terrible rubbing jus a little when turning ya know?

I doubt its the inner fender liner, you mean the inside of the OUTER sheet metal? (the part thats painted). Because I am running 18 x 9.5 +35 with 245/40s and a 1.7 inch drop and I have NO rubbing...

The tires are too big. 215-50's or 225-50's

None, aside from maybe a little bit stiffer ride but no rubbing problems. Tread wear is not affected.
