Will these fit? Please help...

I am looking to get a set of black rims for my 4th gen non lowered 96 GXE. They are 18x9 with a 38 offset. They are only $330. Do you think they will fit? Any rubbing issues? Also what would be the perfect tire size for such a rim? You're input would be much appreciated.

They will fit fine...255/40s or 245/40s would work great...

I like the rims you have, if that is indeed you're car. What size are they? Are you positive those rims i want wont rub? Will they stick out like crazy?

They will probably will stick out a mm or two in the front, which won't really be noticeable...the rear will be sunken in 10-15mm, which is kind of a good thing because it won't rub the fender...If it does you may have to roll your fenders, but I really doubt it...if you are afraid of rubbing just to 245/40s...

Wheels are 18 x 9.5+35 with 245/40s...these DO stick out

i think they will stick out more than a mm or two.

think stock wheels are 6.5 inches wide with 40mm offset. so the 2mm you can disregard.

they will be 2.5 inches wider than your stock setup *(plus 2 mm)

nope. 2.5mm is correct. we don't call him mister fitment for nothing.

they will be 2.5 wider but only half of that is to the outside of the wheel (1.25"), which happens to be just about the same amount that oem wheels are recessed.

to the op. i would be surprised if anything rubbed at stock height, but 255 would be the highest i would go for aesthetic reasons.

I do want to lower my car in the future about 2 inches. Will I be able to do that with rims of that size? You're saying that 245-40's would be perfect? How do you roll a fender?

With the specs you originally posted yes you should be fine...search around how to roll your fenders...it involves a head gun and a base ball bat or you can use a fender roller...245/40s should be great...

Ge the wheels on and determine if you actually do need to roll your fenders before actually doing it, or worrying about it.
