"Nexen" tires on Maxima

I'm looking for some budget tires for my car. Research and found "Nexen" N5000 all season. Does anyone know about this and can provide some feedbacks/opinions?

You probably would get a better response in the wheels and tire section

The N5000's are higher milage tires. Not bad at all for the price range. Will be very well known soon.

I have the Nexen N3000's and I love them. Treads nicely, performs great, and the noise is quite minimal for a performance tire. From what Ive read about the all season N5000's everyone has been quite satisfied with them.

What the ^^^^^^?? Anyway I have the 3000 series on my 18's and I love them. Quiet ride, good handling, and best of all good price for what you're getting.

I have the 5000's on my car and they are worth the money. Allot better than kumho tires. I think nexens are a branch of lexani also.

I have Nexen 5000 all around for the last 6 months. They are very good on rain and overall grip. Pretty good for the price. I highly recommend them.

I had the Nexen 3000`s and I hated them .. Grip sucked and wore em out fast. My alignment and balance are good too. Could not beat the price... got what I paid for. lol Personally, I was disappointed

I have had my nexen 3000 tires on my 20's for almost three years, for the money they are really good tires. Not sure about the track but i have driven them through some pretty harsh road conditions and driven them hard at some points and they have held up really good. I am about to get me a sound set without hesitation, you cant beat it when it comes to price and all around performance but we all have different driving styles and habits.

Hey Pilot 8680, I heard Nexen are pretty decent tires. I have an 05 Max SE, getting Nexen 7000 ina few weeks. I was told they are better than the 5000. I have AvonTech 550's on my car, drove 40k miles on them, getting awful loud tire noises. I will give these Nexens a shot. If your in NYC, I can send you to a place where you can get any nexen mounted and balanced at a great price. I wouldn't mind getting michelins but don't feel like shelling out over $300/tire for driving 600 miles/wk for work. I'll be happy with any tires that lasts me at least 35-40k miles

I would say they're fairly decent for the price. A good choice for a tight budget I must say.

i've had the nexen n3000 for about 25k and they have about 4 to 5/32 left on them, i got them brand new when i bought my car last february and basicly need 4 new tires, they had ok dry traction, in the rain they were ok as well, but in the snow they were very bad, got stuck abunch of times and just couldnt grab the road. for the money they werent too bad, but i wouldnt get them again.

i also rotate my tires every time i change my oil, so every 2500 miles.

n3000s are summer tires. im not sure why you expected them to be good in the snow.

Hi boys, I just last week put my summer tires and rims back on my car as the temps here in the NE were getting a little warm to continue snow tire use. My Toyo Proxess 4's were banana peels bald. I went into my local Townfair Tire and asked to be matched up with some decent summer tires that weren't going to break my wallet as the Toyo's did. The manager suggested the Nexen N5000's. I have never heard of these, but he said they've ben selling well and have had no complaints. So long story short, I bought 4 of them in 235/40/18 and had them mounted and balanced and an alignment. I must say, a very nice tire for the money!! It's been raining here in Mass for 2 days and the rain traction is great and better than the expensive Toyos. They are extremely quiet, much more quiet than the Toyo's and if we happen to get a few inches of snow in April, I won't be screwed as I would be with the Toyo's. So if anyone here is looking for a really good quiet, good rain traction tire that won't leave your wallet with lint, I highly recommend the Nexens.

I just bought a set of these tires for my Max (245/45/18) and I just wanted to know if anyone had any reviews about these tires since the last post was almost a year ago.

Treadwear?
Wet Performance?

Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

Nexen N3000...Wow.

So I finally got my tires in. They look amazing. They look really big though! Anyway, I had taken some pics of them before the mounting. They look great and the tread is sick. I installed them and drove them that same day in the rain which was really hard. They drove well. I was just trying to get them to slide out but they didnt budge from the road. I got a set for 450. 00 shipped and I think these were a good price. I'll be posting a review for others who are in need of tires and want to consider these.!

I have the n5000 on my 03 max and I love them. Great in snow (colorado) good control when I hit standing water, WAY better than my old kumho and the michelins that were on it when I got it.

Good price, long milage 55k, good on dry pavement also, i believe they are H rated on speed, good up to 130mph (i can confirm this) but not past, i got mine from onlinetires for 160 for 4 shipped.

It's been 5 months since I've gotten these tires and I must say they are performing well! I have no problems whatsoever with them. They hold really well in dry and wet (really good in wet) conditions and I have alot of tread left despite the fact I drive 240 miles per week every week. They don't heat up fast and they are extremely quiet. That really made me love them--I hate noisy cabins! They are really thick and that's a good thing for me and for those who do get the N3000, they are Y rated so you can go fast with them! Just a little update for you guys!

my buddy has an 02 se with nexen N5000 and he does about 100mph avg on the highway in the rain and they perform very well they also have no annoying road noise like some of the more expensive tires on the market. he's had them for about a year and they still look like they are new meaning the treadwear is awesome. So I just bought a set for my 00 max se and I have only put about 50 miles on mine but they definitely handle well. They also have are rated for 50k or 60k miles...not bad for a performance tire
