Size and Offset Question??

UPDATE.

New Shoes are on. Axis Seven Mods. (20x9 +37 offset 245/35 Front) (20x10 245/35 +37 offset Rear)

No major fitment issues at all in the back with the 20x10. I had to relocate the driver side e-brake cable to the inside of the bean it was attached to. The front (20x9) fit with no problems. Just the usual rubbing of the fender inner plastic when fully turning. Sorry, no pics, no camera. Thanks to all that replied to this thread and gave me their insight.

Wanted to know if there will be any issues with riding on 20x10 (40mm offset) rear and 20x8.5 (40mm offset)front lowered on Progress Springs (1.7 Front/ 1.5 Rear) on a 4th Gen. Rubbing gonna be an issue? Any help is welcomed.

Thanks

235/35. I am leaning towards some cutting probably. Anybody see me having to roll them?

He ran 19x10"s with a lower offset so yours should fit too. But a roll will be in order.

you'll have to do one or the other on the 1/4 panel for sure. 235 will be a nice strech and will clear trimmed/rolled 1/4s.

i don't know if anyone has run this exact offset/width but plenty have run similar/more aggressive effective setups.

the only place you could possibly run into trouble is inner clearance, because i don't think anyone has run 10" wide on such a high offset. there's a ton of room, i just can't say with 100% conviction.

calm down. unless you have these wheels and tires sitting next to your car on jackstands there's no rush.

if you really need some right now info this is nothing new and math isn't hard.

he ran 10 +22 but was pulled as well.

this sizing is effectively the same (-1mm) as the 9.5 +35 i recommend for a32s.

fronts will be on the weak side.

a +40et offset on a 10" wide will most likely hit the rear traiuling arms. i barely had any clearance when i had the 19x10 +22. probably about an inch or two from the rim.

an inch or two is a lot when you're talkin mm's. come to think of it i mounted a 9.5" +45 (effectively equal, -1mm) with no issues.

There was a post on nycmaximas.org a few months ago where someone put either a 20x10 +40 or 19x10 +40 on a 4th gen. I cant remember exactly. They were black wheels with a red "time attack style" lip if i'm not mistaken.

If i remember correctly, it just BARELY cleared the rear suspension. I'll look for the thread so there is no misinformation.

So I was wrong. Found the thread. They are black with a completely red lip.

http://forums.nycmaximas.org/showthread.php?t=39958

I think you have to register to read stuff on there but just in case you cant...

(copied from the thread)

Rims:

Front:

19x8.5 with 45 offset

Rear:

19x9.5 with 45 offset

Tires:

Front: 235/35/19

Rear : 265/30/19 ( needs to be 265/35/19 to match OEM circumference)

My car's suspension + Brakes:

-H&R Springs (1.4in Front, 1.3in Rear)
-OEM calipers

Fronts fit with no problem and very close to flush fitment
Fronts turn both ways with no problems without hitting any plastics
Rears are very very close to the plastic bushing
No need for fender rolling ( Don't forget I'm on H&Rs)
I strongly recommend wheels with offsets between 44&40 for 9.5 width wheels if you dont want to roll the fenders
Looking at the pictures from the thread, some parts look like they touch or may touch at times depending on how the suspension compresses, but the OP says it doesnt.

19 x 9.5 + 45mm

No clearance issues that a normal build would have. Ridiculously lowered.

Thanks for all the info fellas. I will be installing the new shoes on this weekend, and just wanted to get some general info and insight. I will post after the install and let all know what I had to do (if anything) to make them fit.

Hate to bump a topic but I have a 5.5 and im wondering if 20x10 wheel will fit the back, im running 20x8.5's all around now. I read that putting bigger wheels on the back was loss of traction with a FWD car. I also am told there are gas lines and other lines in the wheel well.

Any know of how to move these lines or place them or re route them underneath more safely? Any help would be great or if its not possible thats fine. I have a 1.3" drop in the back and are rolling the fenders soon. I'm also debating on whether or not ill need spacers in the back since I will have a bigger lip now at 10 (again if this is even possible)

Anyone? I'm assuming no one has 20x10's? I've checked search but nothing vividly indicates anything that im looking for.
