A bit of buyer's remorse...

I did my research as to which ones I would get; I searched for pics of these wheels on an '02 max with no luck. The closest comparison was a pic from Acurazine. I wanted something a little different... the wheels themselves are nice but I don't think they look nice on my car.

I was disappointed after seeing them on the car itself, so I bought some cross drilled/slotted rotors in hopes that they would be a bit more pleasing to the eye... I have yet to put those on.

I also have thought about lowering the car, but this is turning out to be more more cash than I wanted to spend. See pics below.

What you guys think?

What size are those?
They look like 17s...not only that they look very close like the OEM Acura 17s.
If the wheel was wider, and 1 inch bigger it might look better.

aesthetic disaster.

1) wheels too small
2) tires too big
3) car too high
4) navy pants, black shoes

Those were my thoughts exactly. If you're going to get aftermarket wheels, do it right and get at least 18's with a drop. I think that style wheel could look ok, but you aren't pulling it off right now.

I think I'll agree with you MAXRN, seems like they're too busy with all those spokes. Not to be insulting, but they look old manish.

hey

Thanks all for your opinions. I will live w/ these for now; I had some slotted rotors put in, will post pics as soon as all of them are in.

* yes im thinking that lowering it will not improve the look, not to mention that it might prove to be impractical in the north eastern winters.

If you want to lower the car, just get it done. It will look better no matter what rim you end up purchasing. People in this forum are lowered on 19s and 20s in NYC (pothole central). If you end up getting different rims, and you can get your hands on some cheap stockers for the winter months, you will be fine lowered. Good luck

hey

I did not completely rule out the option of lowering the car. If i was going to go that route, would it be practical to to buy a set up where I can adjust the ride height?

* Some one mentioned to me that these types of shocks are more proned to corrsion due to the harsh winter weather and the amount of road salt they use here (North East).

Thx.

Yea I agree that those fat tires make the wheels look pretty ugly...maybe if you had gone with 40 series tires it would draw your eye more to the wheels than the tire...If you lower the car it will 100% look BETTER than it does now...I do understand where you are coming from though b/c lowering can become expensive about $200 for springs around $250-350 for install
