Best all season for winter driving?
I live in Southern Ontario. It gets cold and it can snow quite a bit. I don't want to buy winter tires. A good set of all seasons that are capable in the snow and have a good wear rating. Tire size is 225/50/17. Right now I have falken 912s on and they are hands down the worst performing tire in snowy weather that i've ever come across.
Anyone have any experience with the Pirelli P4 four season tires? How do they compare against the goodyear GTs?

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus
Conti Extreme Contact
BFGoodrich Traction T/A are great in the snow, but I wouldnt recommend them. A bit loud in the summer and they have had some issues with cracking in the sidewall.
Do some research on tirerack.com. Lots of good information on there.

You just contradicted yourself. No matter how great the best all-seasons are they do not compare to winter tires. Below 7c, those no-season rubbers are pretty pathetic.
Only all-season tire I would even consider for winter use would be the Nokian WRs.
Stick with a TRUE winter tire.
