I am planning on rotating my tires and changing summer/winter tires on my own, versus paying the dealership. I am looking to purchase a jack, jack stands, and some ramps. Does anyone have a good recommendation? I would like something with good quality, but do not plan on paying a bunch of money since I will only be using these items on my own two cars!

Also, regarding changing lugs, can anyone recommend a good breaker bar with some sort of protective coating to prevent scratches?

Lastly, I have an air compressor. Would I be better off purchasing some sort of impact drill for it? Thanks for all your help!!!

If all you are planning on doing is rotating tires, the ramps wont be useful at all. All you need is a jack, jack stands, breaker bar, and torque wrench.

Since you wont be going under the car, the jack stands arent absolutely necessary. Just place some wood blocking right next to the jack to catch the car if the jack fails.

And since you will only be doing that twice a year, I wouldnt spend the $$ on an impact drill. But if you plan on doing other stuff quite frequently, it may be worth it. But thats up to you.

One of the best things I ever bought was a good jack. Its a 3 ton jack and gets to full lift in like 4 pumps.Get that and a good lug wrench and you should be good to go.

you might want to pick up a cheapo torque wrench so you can make sure you get the lugs to spec without breaking the wheel studs.
