hey. i have a 02 maxima and i am going to lower it this spring with my progress springs. i just bought a set of 18x8 rota tarmacs and wanted to know what size tire to get. i was thinking about a 225/40/18 or a 235/40/18. i dont want to spend to much on tires. what size do you guys suggest and tire brand

 

IMO, 225/40 looks kinda dopey on an 8" rim and the ride blows. I have 18x8's and I mounted 245/40's on there, much better ride. It's also really close to the stock diameter...

Stock: 225/50/17=25.9 diameter
18's: 245/40/18=25.7 diameter

i had 245/40s and i'm on 235/40s...the 245s were better ride and looked better...i almost cant wait until i have enough money to get some 245/40s again

 

I run 245/35/r20 on my 20s

 

I am up for new tires myself. I am on 350z touring rims V1 18x8 @ 33offset lowered almost 2 inches.

I am on 225-45-18. Can I run 245-40-18 on mine without rubbing? The fronts poke out at tad.
