Falken Azenis 615k at the Race Track!! HEAT Up or Not??

03 Maxima AUTO (Launch at 2k stall) I think my Best 60" has been a 2.2 with them. Don't know if i can lower those times with them or not..??

Hey Guys i've got a set of 235 45 18 Azenis currently on my enkei wheels, and just wanted to know if these tires should be HEATED up or not at the 1/4 miles before i make my run?? Pass through the water and get them HOT or swerve away from the water box and straight to the Line??

Does anyone else use these for Drag Racing?? What Tire pressure should i be using with them as well??

What i currently do is run them at about 29lbs, Go through the water, give a small burn out, and to the line.

NO

when u go the the water box and do your burnout you will still have water in the tred, it will cause slipping durring your holeshot.

20 psi. Azenis have a stiff side wall so lowering psi won't make a major difference. I'd get heat in them every other pass.

615K's were designed for road racing, auto x, etc. You could use them for drag racing, but you won't get the results you're looking for. I would look into getting 2 wheels and dedicated drag tires instead. There are many on the market to choose from, many which are d.o.t. legal radials, which are more street friendly if you decide not to remove them right away after you go out racing at the track.
