LMGT4 wheels for Luna

Hello everyone:

First of all, I want to thank a lot for this site. It´s awesome and very helpful.

2 days ago I was looking for a set of wheels for my car when I found something that catch my eye... A set of NISMO wheels, the LMGT4!

When I watched the price ($530 US) my first thought was "Fake NISMO, replicas, SCAM, Whatever!" but when I just saw a picture of the seller lifting one of the wheels with one arm my curiosity just increased. The seller used them in a Mitsubishi Eclipse...

I just contacted the seller for a meeting and watch closely the wheels. When I inspected them closely I noted this in all the wheels...

I almost laughed in a evil way when I saw the mark in the wheels. Everything was OK and after a little test I bought them.

Here is how they look in my car (Yes, HER name is Luna)

Yes, I know. It looks sad and ugly without the tire.

For the moment the wheels will be waiting for the tires. With a little of luck they will use Nitto or Michelin tires.

And yes, I know that this set is for a RWD car. Even I can sell them for a very good price and get some profit!

Well. After a few time and a lot of work I got the chance of get 2 tires for make a test with this wheels.

One of my friends give me a pair of old 245/40 R18 Yokohama tires (Thanks a lot Fernando ) for this test. And yes, both tires has been equipped in the front and rear wheels, and after a little test drive I can give results:

- No rubbing
- No noises
- Excellent look

But, more pics and less blah blah blah

The wheels (R & F) with the tires equipped

The front wheels will be equipped with 235/40 R18 Z4S Victra Maxxis (ordered and waiting for pick up). Why? Because the 245/40 looks a little chubby and I´m planning to do a little of roll fender for a best fitment according to the body line.

And in a few more time I´ll equip the rear wheels with 245/40 R18 Z4S Victra Maxxis too. I´m trying to give her a nice look, just after a better performance.

Also, a big benefit about this wheels it´s:

I got a lot of space for a BBK

Well, after a little dropping in the front (about 1 inch) and the new front tires equipped. I can say that the handling it's different:

- I don't need to press a lot the gas pedal, because the wheels are lighter and she moves more easily.
- The turning feels a little different but nothing that I can´t handle.
- You got a better sensation of the road.
- And a better look

How she looked before the drop

And after the drop

I´m not planning of lower her more, because the city it´s infested with potholes and speed bumps and I don't want any issue with that.

Stock springs seemed lower in the rear. But the drop is very mild....almost not worth a drop at all in my opinion.but once you are happy, that's all that counts.

That's a heck of a deal you got there man!! I personally would have gotten a taller profile tires: 1)fill the gap a bit more and 2)help with the pothole roads.

And get some 5.5 sideskirts
