Really quick opinion:

So a good friend of mine and fellow Max owner is being (in my opinion) very stupid, and i need your opinion to change his mind; AFAIK the tires he's driving on have got to a point where they are dangerous, and he just doesent seem to care, with responses like, "nah man soon enough the snowies will be back on" (IT'S MAY FOR F*** SAKE) I have included a few pictures. I figure showing him this thread may help. Thanks.

He needs new tires.

He'll be regretting it when he wraps the car around a pole/tree. Brakes and Tires on a vehicle----------> NO JOKE...

If you know a friendly cop, and IF he can afford it, ask the cop to write him a fixit ticket. Might save his life. Some people are too cheap/dumb for their own good.

Wow! Penny pusher huh.

You need to respectfully beat your friend and tell him to get new tires.

How much is a ticket for inadequate tires? Or the deductible on his insurance, for when he plows into someone or something because he can't stop in time? Will his insurance cover it if they find out the tires were below the legal limit?

Your friend is being penny-wise and pound foolish. Tell him to get the tires replaced, or not to drive.

My dad was doing much worse with his tires. I scored a deal at Firestone for oil change, alignment, brake fluid flush, and a new set of Bridgestone tires for under $500, and just paid for 'em myself as a fathers day present. I haven't gotten him anything nice in years, so I figured it was the right thing to do. Your friend can pay for his own rubber though...
