Great Tire Deals, Nationwide Shipping

Just wanted to post up a link to a friend's webpage, he deals in new, used, and take off tires. He deals with good brands, Like Michelin, Goodyear, BF Goodrich, and I'm sure if demand is high enough he will keep others in stock. I just purchased my 4th set of tires from him and he's been great to do business with and has the best prices.

For example: I just got a set of Blizzak WS60 215/55 16 test tires(99% tread remaining) from him for $396.00. For the same tires at tirerack.com it would cost $440.00 without shipping. For the same tires mounted and balanced at my local Firestone dealer I was quoted $626.00. Another example: he has Potenza RE92's(I know no one here likes them) in stock for $119.00 each while tirerack.com has them listed at $204.00 each.

He normally sells test tires at 10-20% below retail, so the more expensive the tire, the better the bargain. He ships all over the continetal U.S. and I know he's shipped to Canada a few times as well. But anyways, check it out, his name is Chris.

You say they are test tires....does this mean they are tested before selling...or does this mean they are a new model tire that needs to be tested....i dont really see where 10 percent is that much of a bargain but then again, im notorious for finding cheap tires online..

Well, I'm pretty sure that all of his test tires and take offs mean that they were mounted once and then practically driven around the block and taken back off. Sort of like random product testing to make sure everything is up to par, then those tires can't technically be sold as "new" so they get stamped as "used" and he gets them in bulk from almost every major manufacturer and then sells them for considerably less than retail. But he occasionally does have brand new tires as well, and he usually has single tires, or pairs, so if you're looking for a cheap replacement, he's a good place to go.

I'm on my 4th set of test tires from him and when I get them you can't even tell they've been used, they still have the original markings on them and what not. If anyone's interested, he has actual pictures of each individual tire he's selling(literally, like if he has three sets of one particular tire, same size and everything, he will post multiple pictures of each set), just so you can see what you're getting.

As far as 10-20%, that was just a guess on my part, his prices vary depending on demand and what not. For example I got my Blizzaks from him for 10% cheaper than tirerack.com and he has potenzas in 225/50 17 for 60% cheaper than tirerack.com, so I guess it just depends on the tire.

But he's a legitimate guy, I live over forty miles away from him and he personally delivers tires right to my door, free of charge, I'm not sure what he charges for shipping, but he uses UPS and FedEX, it's probably not too bad.

On a side note, he is a car guy, with some pretty cool F-Bodies, like a 82 Camaro with 38K miles, and my personal favorite, the 89 Pace Car Edition Trans Am with the same 3.8 Turbo 6 cylinders that the Grand Nationals had... cool car, I took a ride in it, and he has pictures on his website of it, check it out.

I dunno about "used" tires, although these do look great. It seems that his "you can still see the nipples" are still expensive, a couple bucks more can yield you some BRAND NEW tires.

Yeah, I was a little skeptical when I first met him as well, when he was first starting his business, but his "used" tires come straight from the manufacturer. They're just tires that were mounted, tested, and then dismounted. And he usually has a few sets of brand new tires as well. It's kind of a unique business, but he's constantly trying to expand.

Bump for my buddy. He's offering free shipping to your door or your installer on all orders placed the day after Thanksgiving.

Another bump for my friend Chris. I just picked up a set of Bridgestone Turanza LS-V's 225/50 17's (which were recently replaced by the Turanza Serenity line of tires which comes stock on a lot of Lexus models) for $520.00. They retail for $696.00 before tax and shipping at TireRack.com. They were test tires, but still have the "nipples" showing and the factory paint marks. I know his tires aren't brand new, but for a tire with 98% tread remaining, straight from the factory you can't beat it. Check it out.

Your friend will need to contact the admin staff of Maxima.org in order to become a sponsor to sell his items.

I am locking this for now until the necessary arrangements are made for him to become a sponsor of Maxima.org.
