Any Texas members here?

I've got a line on a set of G37 wheels/tires from a guy in Texas. I'm wanting him to do COD, and he flat out refuses. I've now asked for his address info, as all I've got is a name and a phone number, and he says he doesn't feel comfortable giving that out. There's NO WAY I'm sending $1400 to this guy unless I can get somebody to verify for me. He is in Dallas, Texas.

Ask him if he has a Paypal account, if you send the money and you never get the rims, then open a dispute, but that works on if he has a PP account. Good luck, (btw my .02) a little sketchy.........

Everybody swears by PayPal. Here's a little secret...Paypal only cares that he ships me SOMETHING, they don't care what it is. If he can prove that he shipped me SOMETHING, then they will find in his favor. I know, because I just went through this with somebody else. You really don't get ANY protection from Paypal as a buyer. That being said, if I send him the money, and he ships me a brick, with a tracking/delivery confirmation number, then Paypal will find in his favor. As Paypal told me, they are not in a position to dispute WHAT was actually sent...only if something was sent, or not. This is absolutely ridiculous to me, but that is their stance.

Anyhow, I passed on them. He wasn't willing to do COD, and he wasn't willing to offer up any of his info so I could check him out, so I told him to pound salt. He's living in a fantasy land if he thinks I'm just going to blindly send $1400 to a Paypal account without any other info.

for 1400, you could find some local wheels and have them reproduced in diamond encrusted platinum.
1400 is a rip; found some locally on craigslist for a more reaonable $400, with decent tires. they sold before I could scrounge up the cash.

That's alright...I appreciate it. The seller refused to do COD, and also refused to give me any of his personal info. He expected me to send my $1400 to his paypal and just trust him...NOT going to happen, so I told him good luck with his sale.
