I put a screw and a bushing in the insert to put the same pressure on it as when it is installed. The cracked speedo output solder was between R14 and C7. This picture is after I resoldered it. The cracks were hard to see.

1996 speedo 260,000 kms indicated fine but caused code P0500. I repaired it by soldering and preloading the four threaded mounting inserts. If you found tightening the screws in the past helped you may have this problem.
