'00 GLE - Work in Progress (sixteenXnine AKA ragejg)

Description:
After a deer collision, this '00 GLE enjoyed a rebirth of sorts. Previously in completely stock configuration, the accident provided me with the opportunity to install a set of rims I had laying around (350Z base model) and some freshly bought tires (Fuzion HRi's, 245/45R17).

The shop replaced the stock air intake (which I promptly GAB'ed), battery, radiator, all front mounts and bracketry, bumper, hood, fender, and headlights. Since the shop was looking to treat the car nicely, they found a set of halo projectors for a lower price than teh OEM units. They properly painted all exterior components tri-coat pearlescent white, and aleo pulled the dents in the door and rocker panel, and painted them.

The VQ30 runs perfect, the 4 spd auto shifts butter-smooth, the stock Tokico Blue suspension rides great, and the FSTB helps in cornering. Inside, the light tan leather is still supple, the Bose head unit and speakers work fine, the seats still heat up, and everything else is in working order.

I just received my Megan Racing cat-back, and will install it promptly.

This car in my opinion looks a few model years newer than it really is, and gets jealous looks regularly in my medium-income small town.

This is the shot that convinced me that this car looks newer than it really is. The combination of the rims and headlights really makes this car look a lot nicer than it did, with stock OEM composite units and 16" 5-spoke aluminums. The 245's help the car feel rock-solid stable, and it even gets around pretty good in the snow!
