My wife doesn't like riding in the car. She says there are too many rules... So trips together are in her Ford Escape or my Toyota Tercel, which she doesn't like either because it's small, LOL.

Not the original mats, but the carpets are perfect. I put extra automotive carpet material in the spots where wear would occur. I see new original mats on ebay for about $140 , ouch. I'll prob get a set though...

I rack up most of my miles on my Toyota Tercel, so I can keep my Maxima in nice shape, and save on gas to boot. The flagship isn't that bad on gas though, especially on the highway -- about 28MPG.

I'm running her with Falken Ziex ZE912 tires (225/50R16). They grip the road pretty well and give a comfortable ride.

This is my 1997 Maxima SE. She has 39,911 on the odo. I'll probably break 40k after the winter when she comes out of the garage. She's pretty immaculate inside and out.

I drive her pretty conservatively. Unfortunately, no mods, except for the variable intermittent wiper control switch from a 99 Maxima I installed. She's pretty much an SE stripper. Not many options. The wiper control is all I wanted though.

I started running her recently with Amsoil 0W30, Amsoil oil filter (so I can extend change intervals). The oil has been changed 39 times since June 1997. I also use an Amsoil air filter and Amsoil synthetic transmission fluid in the tranny and power steering unit.
