Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
have a 1992 Nissan Maxima W/166K for sale that was given to us in 2007 with 118K on it.
Got it from wifes father who purchased it NEW in New Jersey, so we know the history of it.
It was well maintained and Jersey inspections are yearly & tuffer than CT.
It needed brakes and TWO fuel injectors when we got it, so $1200 and we had a running car.
Since then we have replaced the TWO front Struts @ $800, tires are less than 2 years old.
Timing belt was recently, and upper RAD hose replaced. In the last month both rear wheel
cylinders blew on the brakes and have been replaced @ $150. I have the reciepts for repairs
and may have forgotten what else has been fixed.
THE BAD:
Currently there is exhaust leak and the car is LOUD. My mech says it will cost approx. $400
to make the car quite again . 8-)
Also the Power Steering Assembly has a slow leak and can not be fixed and my mech says
he can replace it for approx $650. I check and top off reservoir regularly & so far so good. 8-)
The power door locks, radio, speedometer and the alarm are flaky and work sometimes...humidity and rainy days make it worse. SPEEDO reads 95mph when i do 45MPH
It has VERY minor rust behind wheel well from being in CT, car had NONE in 2007
rust is not an issue I am just being honest about what you can expect.
THE GOOD:
power windows, power seats,A/C, heat, power sun roof, all work. oil changed every 3K
it's 4 Speed Auto trans. I currently drive it 60 miles a day to commute to work @ 25 MPG
I have the Title too.
This car is basic RELIABLE transportation, nothing fancy. asking $800 or B. O.
