Yup. End of an era. I moved on several years ago and couldn't bother to part with it. The time has come that I'm tired of it sitting in my driveway and I need racing money, so here it goes..

1993 Maxima SE, VIN: JN1EJ01F3PT400555
258,900 miles.

Engine/ Drivetrain:
Built VE30DE Engine, complete overhaul at 223,000 miles (36k miles on engine, mostly highway)
Engine work done by Westside Performance, Houston TX.
cyls bored to 87.5mm (+0.5mm)
bottom end fully balanced and blueprinted
11.5:1 forged JE Pistons (VG30DE)
Clevite bearings
ARP rod bolts
Ported heads
Ported TB & matched intake manifold
ASP underdrive pulley
Warpspeed Y Pipe
2.5" Cat (from 4th or 5th gen)
2.5" custom exhaust, Magnaflow resonator & muffler
JWT ECU
Approx 185hp/200tq. it'll rip the front tires loose from a roll anywhere in 1st gear.

20k on transmission rebuild by Awesome Z- no crunches or grinds, shifts smooth as butter, no leaks, no vibrations, no noises.
Fidanza flywheel
ACT Clutch w/ Street Disc

Suspension:
Ground Control coilover conversion, 450lb/in front and rear springs
Koni Red shocks, fronts have less than 10k miles on them.
4th gen upper strut mounts (1" more suspension travel)
Suspension Tech F&R sway bar set
BlehmCo Stage 2 LTB
BlehmCo RSTB
BlehmCo rear parallel link set
Warpspeed Performance Stage 2 subframe connectors
Energy Suspension front control arm bushings

Brakes/Wheels:
Voxx MGR 17x8
13" x 1.25" 2-pc Coleman Racing rotors
Wilwood Superlite front calipers
Z31 rear rotors, stock calipers (The FIRST set out there thankyouverymuch).
Wilwood brake bias adjuster
Hawk HPS pads front & rear

Interior:
Brushed aluminum dash kit
CNC-milled aluminum pedal covers
Corbeau CR-1 seats
Dynamat everywhere- trunk, doors, rear deck, etc.
Redlinegoods.com shift boot, black w/ red stitching
Z32 J-Spec shift **** w/ red stitching
NO STEREO!! I had a full system installed in the car and have removed it all for separate sale- the factory wiring, RCA cables, and speaker wiring is still there, but that's about it.

The good: Cool history and mods. This is THE BlehmCo car. handles amazing (for a Maxima) and has outrun some pretty wild cars on the road course!

The Bad: Needs maintenance before being daily drive-able again.
needs new battery, voltage regulator/alternator rebuild, radiator has hairline crack, A/C needs recharge.

The Ugly:
Clearcoat is peeling and rear bumper is yellow, windshield cracked f/ rogue weedwhacker debris.
Hasn't been registered/inspected for ~5 years. It passed inspection no problem last time I tried it, but obviously might need a tuneup before going to the sniffer again. Because of the time sitting, expect to go through all fluids and replace the tires before driving it long distances. I have started the car up and driven it around the neighborhood every few months, but it has not been driven more than about 20 miles at a time in several years.

Price: Asking $3500, negotiable but don't waste my time with a lowball- there's $4000 in the engine and $3000 in brakes/suspension alone.

Damn, I'm real sad to see this thing up for sale I want to remember it as it appears in your sig. It's too bad the paint is so far gone, I think that's what's killing interest in the car. What have you done as far as a tune for the motor, did JWT do anything special or is it an off the shelf tune for a regular VE? I assume the HP numbers you listed are WHP estimates?

It's a standard JWT tune. I was planning to get cams ground for the thing then tune the ECU, but then I lost interest when my local cam guy retired. (You would think more than 1 or 2 people in Houston would be willing to do a custom cam grind for a Jap car.... )
Power numbers are based on the dyno I did on the stock engine a loooong time ago (175/190). This engine is considerably faster than that. I threw on 10hp to be nice.

Repainting the thing is cheap and easy compared to the rest of the work on the car. it's a weekend of work to paint a car if you want to do it yourself. If the dollar amount was worth it for me to do, I'd be willing to repaint it prior to sale. Hell I'd even do the maintenance to make it a good daily again if I knew it would go to someone who would appreciate it.

Just put the VE motor in your S14 Matt. And let me buy the roller maxima.

LOL! The work involved wouldn't be worth it. too much custom work. I could drop in an SR or a VQ with less work and have a much lighter car and more power.

How about you buy the whole car and you yank and sell the engine.

Hahaha yes I know. I just wanted to entertain the thought of it. I would love to be the new owner of your max. I am slowly coming up with the cash.

Come on people, this car is legendary! A part of me really wants to buy this, but I just can't. I'm struggling to get the I30 back on the road. How's the rust on this bad boy?

There's a small corner on one of the rear wheel arches that's starting to rust (See the small grey spot behind the rear wheel in the very first pic), but otherwise the car is structurally rust-free. It's been in OK and TX for at least the last 15 years, and there's no salt on the roads here.

kind of steep for the asking price, but I can see why since there sentimental value in it. Good luck on the sale, I would been interested but a bit out of my range.

re-read the list of parts on the car. the asking price doesn't even cover what I have invested in the engine. same for the brakes and suspension.

Also read the part where I said "come up with a reasonable offer".

Vintage.

That body style held up real well. Looks way better than a lot of the tired designs coming out these days. Simple and clean lines. Good luck with the sale.
