XYZ Coilovers Interest thread

Please DO NOT turn this thread into a junk thread. Only post if you are interested in purchasing the product in a possible group deal. By now, we all know that these brand coilovers haven't seen much of the maxima game, so there is also no need to post negative comments, your assumptions about the product, or try to compare them with the other well-known brands.

DO NOT advertise your for Sale/Trade items in this thread either. DO your own research about the product, if it interests you, kindly add your name to the list. THAT SIMPLE !!. Positive comments to show our interest in the product is encouraged but not needed.

The coilover kit comes in two distinctive designs for which relates to our driving needs: Racing Spec and Super Sport. Info about each kit can be found in the links below. Interested persons can feel free to share valid added information to the thread so that we all can learn from each other about this new product that we all want to try.

Company's have had mixed reviews in running group buys with a list of enthusiasts. Let us NOT get added to that list. Please PRIVATE MESSAGE me (PM) what you are willing to pay for the setup. Thank You

Guys...unfortunately the price in which we were willing to pay was not in the range of the vendors and they think that it would not be worth their time. I tried to negotiate....however that only went so far. They are certain about the quality of the product and assure me that they sell a lot for other types of cars. They mentioned that they get more sales and interest from the a33-a34 group, but not so much for the A32's. Nothing was sketched in stone though guys, it was just a chance we all took to see what could happen. In the end the vendor was a very cool guy overall and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him if you guys were still interested in paying full price. Good luck with slamming your cars everyone.

Yup, seem as if most coilover buyers enjoy having pillowball mounts versus the other. Next thing considered too is springs rates etc

Well if we all can agree on the best and can get one order, that would be good.

What I can't seem to find is the difference in weight between these and the stock..this plays a role in wheel bounce on launches. I saw that the bottom mount is light weight but the overall weight reduction is important to me. Anybody have the answer to that? I'm saving for a set of coilovers as we speak.

I don't have that answer unfortunately. Hopefully some others will chime in and comment.

Any style of coilovers will be lighter than a Spring+Strut setup.

Just a fact of life.

Also add me to the list, just the basic ones will do, going on the white car (96).

Let me know if you interested enough to want your name added to the list. Prices wont be posted in the thread, however the plan is for all interested persons to PM me a price in which they are willing to pay for the product.

So if aackshun is in and max1008 is in as well as bkmax we need 3 more people to complrte 10... thats a good start i think and yes any coilever set will be lighter than stock springs and struts....

You need to ask them what the prices would be for the different models IF/WHEN we get 10 and some basic shipping quotes. A total out the door price is needed for me

Height can be adjusted like regular coilovers and they also come with the pillow ball mount....which enables camber adjustment as well.

To make things easier, we might want to all agree on one product. Not ruling out the option of being able to order any of the two though. The price you PM me should be one with shipping included.

as far as my understanding goes the only difference would really be whether we want camber adjustment in the back as it is simply rear pillowball vs. aluminum mount right?

Thats my understanding from their website too (two tables in top post). Racing spec has pillow ball at front and rear. But with our rear beams....will it even be possible if we get pillowball at the rear?

If we cant get pillowball front mounts with camber plates on the SS version then Im going to have to get the RS. If your going to get CO's then you have got to at least be able to adjust camber. If they don't actually come with plates then us 4th gens can use overkill engineerings camber plates. Just please for my piece of mind ask them for certain or better yet get them to come on here and give us a run down. After all this talk of a GD they should be able to get a representative on here for a quick Q&A

Take a look at these two links:
Racing Spec:
http://xyzsuspension.com/racingspec.html
Super Sport:
http://xyzsuspension.com/supersportcoilover.html

They haven't approved a group deal for us as yet...consider this just a trial phase, so im not sure if we will be able to get someone here to answer questions for us. I think that would get done IF they approve us. For now, we just have to use whatever is on their website...just like any other coilover website....or you could always give them a call.
