How tight should the main drive belt be

I need some help
OK, when it comes to cars, I don't know jack. That being said, when I bought my 95 Max SE I had a friend of my dad's who really knows his **** look at the car for me.
The only problem he found was that the Main Drive Belt needed to be replaced as soon as possible. I thought, ok I'll go buy one and then pay him or somebody else to put it on. Well, the first step has proven to be more difficult than I thought.
I went to a Napa auto parts store and told this guy there that I needed a Main Drive Belt. He asked me the year and make of my car and looked on the computer. Then he told me he couldn't find it and wanted to know if I could get the part # for him. I told him I'd see what I could do and left cause I had to be at work. One thing I should mention is that the guy appeared to be VERY SLOW. I'm not trying to be mean, and I'm not saying this because of his profession or anything, he seriously spoke slowly with a lisp and seemed to get confused easily even with the customers ahead of me. So I don't know if I was just unclear or if he just wasn't very bright.
Either way, I gotta try again so if anyone knows the part # of a main drive belt or a way I can more clearly state what it is I need I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

I got one right here that I am about to put on. The part number from NAPA is V-Ribbed Belt, 25-060431. The "secondary" belt is part number V-Ribbed Belt, 25-040305. You are better off replacing both at the same time so you won't have to replace the "secondary" belt down the road.....
