Help please, 96 to 97 taillight harness

Hello my car is almost done doing the 96-98 swap.... So at the shop and I provided them with clear taillights ", aftermarket ones.. So they have my inners in with my 96 outers which looks a bit odd.. but not all of them work.. They showed me that the sockets are different, won't work

What are the # socket for the 97-99 lights, I need the harness.. Please help it's really bugging me, where can I get these?? Where can I get it done?? Dealerships?? I don't care... I need them I don't care how much it costs...

Take a deep breath and relax. It's not the end of the world.

There is one bulb that is different. For the backup lights the 96 used a 1156 lamp. The 97 to 99 used a 921 lamp.

The fix is easy. You can either go to your local auto parts store and buy 2 sockets for the 921 lamp or visit the junk yard and cut both backup light sockets off of a 97 to 99. Then on your car, cut the backup light sockets off of the wire harness and solder the replacements on.

Will the 921 bulb lights make the outer lights work? So far the inners work. But the outers are the 96 lights..

The harness you need is no bigger than your palm its detachabke from the back of the tail light. What more do you need to know.

Ok so... I just need the 921 bulbs and 921 socket harness to get these aftermarket 97 lights to work? It can be bought from a auto parts store? Wherever besides junkyards can I get them?

No the harness can't be bought from an auto parts store...LOL

Just buy them off of Lux, problem solved. Or MaximaJoe, junkyard, dealer if you must.

Those are your only options...

You need 97-99 tail light harness. The harness already comes with the sockets you just need the bulb. Everything is plug and play.

The dealer will not have them in stock. Will be a special order and you'll have to wait anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. You won't know until you call or go there.
