Proper length of Alt, AC drive belt
I want to replace the drive belt on the 97 Maxima. Does anyone know the official belt length?
I have seen k6-1085, k6-431, k6-435 listed.
I can confirm that the K6-1085 (about 42.7 in) is too short (at least new, not stretched). For bypassing the AC the k6-360 is a perfect fit.
What about the k6-431 and k6-435? Who's used them?

The belt that bypasses the a/c compressor is 920mm long or 36.2 inches.
The belt that runs the a/c compressor and alternator is 1100 mm long. This translates to 43.3 inches. Did you loosen the belt tensioner all the way? I would think think that it would compensate for a .6 inch difference.

Thanks for the response DennisMik!
Yes, I have loosened the belt tensioner all the way trying to get the 1085mm belt on. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to get it over the tensioner. It might have worked had I made a tool from another tensioner, to push/pull it.
