Brakes replaced.. creaking sound still present. Sticking caliper?
I got my brakes replaced with OEM pads, and the sound that I thought was the wear indicator is still present. The sound is a creaking/whining sound and it's LOUD. It basically disappears when I step on the brakes.. it's worst at a speed of 20-35 MPH. Could this be my caliper sticking? If so, how can I remedy that?

Is the noise coming from one particular brake? What have you done to the rotors? Machined/replaced? How bad are they? Groves in the rotors from uneven wear can cause this noise... As jaco mentioned put some grease on shims. Also have you cleaned and lubed the caliper sliders with silicone? If you notice this coming from one particular brake, that could also be the sticking one... Check your parking brake too, if the cables are stuck, it will cause you problems too (that is if the noise is coming from the rear)...

My rotors were checked out my the mechanic who changed my brakes, and he said that they could be machined, but didn't have to be. When I ran my finger on the rotor, as he showed me, I felt a pretty good indent at the end where my finger nail caught the edge of the rotor.
I haven't greased or siliconed anything, and the noise is coming from the passenger side front.

had simular noises after brake pad change
the rust, and other debris that exists on the top of the rotor will hit the 2 aluminum bracketts that hold the brake pads.
I removed the rust (bangged it off with a hammer/screwdriver)
also the middle of the rotor inside may have debris that rubs against the same aluminum bracketts.
scrape it off or bang it off like I did and Voila no noises
just put on the e-brake,
lift the side of the car on the wheel you are hearing.
put car in nuetral (dont forget to put the e-brake on)
remove the wheel
turn the rotor with your hands clockwise and look-listen for the rubbing.
