After eliminating the P0420 code, I now get P0134

So after going back and forth wit my exhaust system, I finally get rid of the P0420 code by using the non-foulers. So after a few days I get another SES light, so im thinking its the same 420 code coming back. I get it scanned and now find out that the 420 code is no longer coming up, but now I have a P0134 code (Oxygen 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank I Sensor 1)). I wanna know if anyone has had this same problem while dealing with these codes. I have intake, headers, test pipe, catback. Coming up time for inspection and I have to get this all fixed up. I know im going to throw my stock cat back on and prob keep it on and see if that might clear something up.

Basically do these two code correlate with each other in some way, because I NEVER got the code until I used the non-foulers to eliminate the P0420.

Also, If I take my test pipe off and put my stock cat back on, will it trigger the o2 sensor that I put the non-foulers on to set the SES back off due to improper air flow??

I know you have a FSM riiiighttttttttt??

EC-250

Possible Cause

Harness or connectors
(The sensor circuit is open or shorted.)
Front heated oxygen sensor

sounds like the o2 just went bad, unless its a wiring issue.

The non-fouler worked on mine, at first i just had 1 non-fouler installed and that didn't do the trick, and after reading some more I found out that I had to have two, so I installed another one and it worked perfect..

and I looked at the FSM but Im just wondering did the two code relate to each other seeing that I didn't have it before the 420 code and after i cleared that up like the next day i got the P0134 code..

Well if its for b1s1 then its a precat code... probably just a failing sensor.. or the wiring for that sensor is shot... check the wiring, plugs, for bends, cracks, burns, ect.

b1s1 is a primary o2 sensor it actually does work on the AFR , 99% sure that o2 is only used for AFR and does not monitor cats due to its in the manifold before any cats anyway.

The sensor probably just went out, it is 9 or 10 years old..

Ok I have a question then I would like some help with.

Heres the situation...I recently had the P0420 code when I had my test pipe, so I put the non-foulers in the o2 sensor right after my cat, and the code went away and at that time I had got the new P0134 code. What im wondering is that do the two codes correlate with each other? Like if im getting no activity detected at the b1s1 sensor (P0134), If i was to get a new o2 sensor, and the ecu and the o2 sensor starting reading again will it throw a P0420 code again because the airflow is not the same with the o2 sensor before the cat and after the cat???

I've got the same P0134 and additional P0160 and dealer states that without an ecu reflash the codes will reappear. That's about $100 btw. I haven't replaced the sensors (codes been going for over 12 months) yet.
