Installing Nissan Body Kit
Hey guys, I am leaning towards ordering the Nissan body kit, well b/c it comes factory painted. I was wondering how easy it is to put those babies on. I figure I need a special glue or adhesive to keep them on the car, but is there any drilling involved? Any input is helpful...THANKS!!!!!!
you know what!
I am kinda leaning towards the Nissan Oem body kit, it looks more sedated then the Stillen one.
Stillen is to aggressive and sporty for me, besides, i have purchased the Addco RSB and thats one LESS stillen thing that i have,

OEM Body Kit
The body kit installs with double-sides 3M type tape and screws. There might also be clips, but I'm not sure, since I haven't ordered mine yet, but plan to in the future. No drilling is involved, because Nissan had already planned on coming out with an Anniversary Edition when the 2k Max came out, so the holes are already there. The holes are filled with rubber plugs surrounded by a plastic piece. I guess the screws self-tap when you screw em into the plastic, unless it's already got threads. I wanna go with the OEM kit cuz I can retain my splashguards and the fact that it comes pre-painted. Check under the front and rear bumpers to see what I'm talking about concerning the rubber/plastic predrilled holes. It should be relatively easy to install also. Peace.

Can you only get these through a Nissan dealer? About how much do they cost? What about the muffler, there isn't a cut out for it is there? I guees you would have to replace that too....

Thanks for the plug, Pillager, I'll try to answer everyone's questions. The factory Aero kit is identical to the AE kit, with the exception of the rear bumper piece. It
has two pieces that taper in to allow for the 2000 muffler with straight outlets. We installed a few of these kits at Southpoint, it actually looks pretty good. If any of you are serious about considering the factory kit, let me know & I'll try to get you some pics!

As for the Splash Guards, the AE comes with different splashguards prepainted to fit the contour of the aero kit.
As for the body kit, if the Nissan kit cost less than Stillen's I may be more interested.

Hey Dave!!!
I will be interested in purchasing the Aero Kit for my 2000 as soon as I get everything straightened out with my current mods, so I too am curious about the price Town North Nissan is charging for the kit. Will I need to purchase new splashguards? I will also be ordering the AE chrome door sill plates from you Dave. I look forward to contacting you in the future, due to your excellent customer service to so many Maxima.org members.
Defenitely need a group deal on AE KIT!!!
