Vents! No cool air, just HOT, what's the problem?
Guys, I've searched but nothing specific came back. Need help!!
To set it straight, the last thing I did, last monthh, was replace the IAC valve, did the hose bypass, checked the ECM board, all buttoned up and car idles and runs great, no issues in this area.
But...now the vents issue. Here's what works: fan blows air at all settings, A/C engages and I can feel just a little bit of cold air around the controls area, vent buttons work, redirects air where pushed. The problem is, I ALWAYS get Hot air, nothing else. Oh, I don't have the fancier auto climate control, just buttons and slider.
What could be the problem? Thanks for any or all ideas, kind of painful to drive in hot air all the time.

There is a movable panel inside the main section of the air vent box called the AIR MIX DOOR. The positioning/movement of this door is controlled by the temperature slide lever in the dash control panel. The air mix door allows the air to flow through the heater core or around it, depending on the position of the lever in the control panel. The control panel sends power to a small electric motor that moves the air mix door. Appropriately enough, the motor is called the Air Mix Door Motor.
You can check fuse # 19, 10 amps, that powers the control panel in the dash. It is in the middle row of fuses, the 2nd one from the right end. The diagram in the fuse box cover calls it AIR CON.
If the fuse is good, then look and see if the air mix door motor operates when you slide the temperature lever from hot to cold. The ignition must be in the ON position, but the engine does not have to be running if you don't want to start the car. If the arm doesn't move than you will have to check voltages and see if the motor or the control panel is bad.
The air mix door motor is located right over the ECU, screwed on to the bottom of the air distribution box. The arm that operates the air mix door can be seen from the passenger side.
