Any of you guys have suggestions, or experiences with brands of aftermarket open ended acorn lug nuts for use with the OEM wheels? again oem wheels so acorn is necessary here.

I am not looking to do this for looks, just functionality and am looking at standard chrome ones such as these.

Reason I bring it up is I don' t want to put some piece of crap on my car, especially with lug nuts for life safety etc.

or is the bigger concern studs? which i will be fine going with H&R DRS

I have one lug nut on my 2000 from my local auto parts store. No problems with it. It looks so similar to oem that you have to look hard to tell which one it is. On my Lexus, I have one wheel on all local auto parts store lug nuts. Been about a year now and no problems.

Over the years I've replaced studs and lug nuts with non oem pieces and never had any problems which is why I don't get oem.

I've used lugnuts from Autozone and even Wal-Mart in the past with no problems at all.
