I've searched and found a similar issue but not quite the same. My passenger rear door lock is not working properly.
- Using the inner door ****, I can lock and unlock the door
- Using the inner door handle, I can open the door when unlocked and I cannot open the door when it is locked
- Using the key however I can only unlock the door. Locking ends up with a heavy throwing sound but neither the inner door **** or the door will open -regardless of how many times I click the button.

I am leaning towards the door lock actuator assuming that even with the throwing sound there is likely a gearing problem. If it were the door lock assembly I would think the other ways of opening the door would have a similar problem - although it could be the engagement with the door lock actuator. Anybody think I am wrong here?
