New rear strut & lower mount alignment
Replacing rear struts with monroe quick struts. The orientation at the lower bolt is off a bit. I could force it into the brkt and force the bolt in, but it seems a bit excessive. Does the strut allow itself to be rotated? If so, how?
Is this typical? Just bend the brkt?
Sorry, simple issue to some of you, but bolting it up when it doesn't fit right is not so cool and those brkts are pretty thick to bend..
Bend the brkts anyway? Bang away??? I'd rather rotate the strut if possible.
Thanks.

So I went ahead and hammered the brkts a bit which helped a little. Installed the lower bolt with a nice flush and smooth assembly and then forced into location one of the two upper mount bolts. Didn't like doing it this way....
But couldn't figure any other way other than spring compression and readjustment, which defeats the whole assembly purpose.
Some have had questions on getting to the upper nuts in the trunk. Ill try to post a picture. It's easy when you figure out the boogie.
