What is the average age of the 7th Gen owner? Is it yours?

I have owned cars since 1949, and if I had to pick one car out of all the dozens I have owned as my all-time favorite, it would be that 1985 Maxima. It was probably a 'place and time' thing. But that car was exactly what I wanted at that time, gave me wonderful service as I drove it all over the U.S., and I always felt so happy driving it.
You say your uncle is almost 65? That isn't so old. I have bought a new 2000 SE, a new 2004 SL and a new 2009 SV Premium since I turned 65. And I bought the 2000 SE in summer of 1999. I can't remember back to when I was only 65.
Age is simply a state of mind. I still shoot three pointers for an hour or so on my half-court several times a week.
I hope to drive several more generations of Maximas, then, when I die, have my ashes sprinkled across the hoods of the newest Maximas on my dealer's lot.

I had two 2nd gen Maximas (one was my wife's daily driver), and put 206,000 miles on the one I drove.

I am 25 and I have to say I love the maxima. My mom had bought a new one in 04 and it was so much fun to drive. Now that I'm older and can afford it I had to grab me one. I got to the snow white sv, premium package and the peanut butter guts.

I'm 50 (the new 40 right?) first Maxima but my 4th new Nissan since 2005. Still have all four. 2005 Altima, 2008 Sentra, 2010 Altima and the 2011 Maxima. My 2 kids drive the Altima's and the wife drives the Sentra. The Max is mine.

I'm 29, and this is the first Nissan that I've owned. Admittingly, I went to the dealership to look for a used Acura TL-S and I walked away in an 09 SV/Sport. I'm very happy with the Maxima, it rides great, looks great and is sporty enough, but also roomy enough for my entire family. I just finished installing a Stillen Intake (talk about a pain in the *** getting the rubber coupling on the throttle body). Great car and I would definitely consider it again.

Don't feel bad. I guess this is technically the 8th car i've owned. Almost 1 for every year i've been driving The moral of the story is don't let your friends/roommates drive your cars because most likely they won't come back in 1 piece

30 and just bought a brand new 2012 SV Prem/Tech, black on charcoal. I've owned Mazdas most of my life and wanted to go Mazda6 brand new but drove it vs the Maxima and Maxima won by a long shot. Friend of mine had an '89 Maxima SE (5-speed) back in the day; that car always impressed me and persuaded me to switch over to Nissan.

Age...just a number
I'm 54 and loving my '11 Maxima Sport. Came out of a 2008 G35xS last fall. Had a lot of nice rides in my short life thus far. Two Audi avants, two MBs, some Vettes, some Porsches, a Jetta GLI and a Golf R32, a Subaru SVX and a Saab Turbo (black of course). I used to have more money than I do now (two kids in college, some bad real estate deals). Simply stated, the Max is the best ride for the money I've ever had. What a stunner in Mystic Jade.

29 in two months.
Just bought my '11 in August and love it. Just waiting to learn more on this site. The Maxima is actually my wife's but she won't know what I'm doing with mods. I have a '00 Camaro SS that I have been in the process of moding. Just looking to do minor stuff to hers for now. Well, until my addiction to the Camaro is over.

Just purchased a new 2011. I am 31. Had a 09 WRX before this car. Time will tell if i will love this car. The inside and outside are awesome. I havent tested performance yet, waiting to get some break-in miles on it first. I have had a stick for the last 11 years so I am hoping i dont get bored with an auto transmission, CVT is about as far from a manual as you can get. So far I love it.

What the average age of 7th generation Maxima owner?
Look you all invincible young techies, I am 66 years old Aerospace Stress engineer and this is my third Maxima. I have 2010 Black/Crimson which my better half picked. It has had a ton of minor problems but all in all it's an awesome car to drive. I am a little bit picky about performance- a little noise, ride, vibration, gas mileage etc. My dealer tells me some of the things I complained are so specific that average drive won't be bothered with.

New here and chiming in....
I'm 38, just about three months shy of 39, and I just bought my 2010 SV 3.5 with Premium package yesterday; she's Winter Frost with the Cafe Latte interior. I'm an active duty Air Force officer and bought it as my early promotion present (I'm prior enlisted and just came back on active duty a couple of years ago, and will make captain in December).
I named her Setsuna, which in Japanese means 'calm snow' - I thought with her color it was appropriate! Plus, like snow - it may look serene until you hit it on a mogul screaming down the mountainside - she's more than her appearance: she's a four door, sensible car - until you try to overtake me on I-410 at 70 mph...
I traded my 4th Accord yesterday for her; I've driven Hondas for the last 14 years. My dad drove Datsuns and Nissans when I was growing up and I helped put 275,000 miles on a Stanza sedan when I was in high school (and wrecked a Stanza wagon before that one with 112,000 miles on it!) - he always wanted a Max and I wish he was here to see this one.

27. Bought after 7 month deployment because of the style. Drove a friends 2010 G37S for a year and loved it, so i knew the max wouldnt be a disappointment . Since I have a family and my Dodge Magnum flooded, i decided to get that "4 door sports car" the ads always talk about. Friends dad worked at the dealership in VA Beach and hooked me up with the best one on the LOT. PROUDLY SUPPORT 7th GEN with my 2012 MAXIMA SV SP/TP!!!!!

I'm 27 but my first car was a 1999 Nissan Maxima GLE when i was 16, Loved that car. Then I needed something faster so I got a 2001 Audi S4. Then I seen how sick the new Maxima was and had to go back to my roots. LOVE my car, still have my Audi but drive my Maxima as my daily driver. Getting the 6k HID foglights installed and debadging the car. Excited to get it back!

I'm 32. My first car was a 86 bmw e30 325e, second car 01 b5 audi s4, third car 05 bmw e60 545i, and the 12 maxima sv is my current ride purchased four months ago. This is my third white on black vehicle and I love all the features and creature comforts. I am using synthetic oil and I was wondering at what service interval are fellow members changing the oil?

Wow some of you guys have had a lot of cars!! Well this is my first Maxima and my third car. I have somewhat of a special situation in that I'm not in the country most of the year so I don't have as much of a need for a car. Im 28 and my first car was a 1996 Camry and then I bought a 2008 Altima which was totaled by a tree falling on top of it. Upgraded to the Max and not looking back!

Just joined forums, been looking here for ideas. I'm going to be signing papers for my '11 Maxima SV (premium w/nav) tomorrow! Added my vote saying that I'm 28, although I think that all we're really finding out is the average age of the 7th gen Maxima owner who is tech-y enough to join a car discussion forum. Anyway, looks like I'm right at the average age! Couldn't be more excited to own a Maxima tomorrow!
