oil change interval
#4
GTX is a high quality dino oil and should hold up well over time. I would go 6 months and pull an oil sample, and send the sample for analysis to see:
1. what sort of wear is occuring during your stop and go driving
2. If the oil's TBN, total base number, is holding up. The TBN is ususally a good indicator as to how well the oil maintains its ability to lubricate.
3. and other factors that may indicate what the ideal oil change interval will be for your driving habits (or lack thereof).
However, if you asked your question over at www.bobistheoilguy.com, you'd be asking some serious oil enthusiasts for their opinions, instead of car enthusiasts over here.
