I'll get some more later on to show the available space for shelving along with the workbench and tool chest and storage racks. Basically in all there is two cars, two bikes and one jet ski in there and I think if it is cleaned up and I make the proper shelving there is enough room to bring in a Jeep to do some work on.
I happen to have old cabinets hanging in my garge. If you know of anyone redoing a kitchen, or know a kitchen maker (local, craigslist, Home Depot, or Lowes), ask for the old cabinets. They come in good use in garages.

I changed all the interior doors in my house. Used all the old ones along with 2x4's to make very useful storage in my basement.

i have a bunch of cabinets in my shop and I gotta say...I kind of hate them. They stick out off the wall too far and Nothing seems to fit right in them. I'm actually going to take some of mine off. I've been shoving a bunch of power tools in them and stuff but I think the easiest and best way to store stuff is on shelves or hanging right off the wall itself.

hey what brand is your lift? it looks similar to mine
I was wondering what kind of maintenance you do to it because I've asked shops and they dont ever do anything to theirs. but I feel like mine could use more hydrolic fluid or something (i have no idea what it takes). It seems like it doesnt raise and lower as fast as it used to

original color was "saffron" (kind of a medium yellow), but I'll probably make it black, like all my other cars - except it will be a matte finish rather than gloss. We'll see....that's a long way off!

Wow sweet thread. I love these! Sweet Triumph too Irish. I was gonna ask what it was. What are your plans for it?
I just moved in August so its a work in progress. First month we built a bedroom for an extra roomate. Since then its been garage and above garage attic work. The entire purpose of this house was the garage. The rest is fairly spec but I nearly live in the garage so I needed my space. Its a 3.5 car with 13 ft ceilings. First time I stopped by it was a hole in the ground. I should say that "modding" a house is an endless endeavour and its sucking away a huge chunk of my automotive money. Oh well; I'm quickly becoming becoming a garage freak as you will probably know by the end of this post.
Sometime in Early July.
Sometime in early November. Just got finished putting epoxy on the floor. Went on easy and looks awesome. The knee-wall concrete is just color matched exterior paint to expand with the temp variances. I ran two independant circuits along all walls to allow two 20 amp draws going at the same time right next to each other.
Progress till current. Already its too filled with clutter. Currently I finishing up the lighting wiring and beginning the sound system stuff. After that I plan to build a five foot deep loft above the workbench area in front of the single bay.

For lighting my moddo has been, "No shadows". I've been running 96" T12 Cold Start HO fixtures. There are currently four different ciruits(Finishing up the 5th) to allow intense but isolated lighting in the area I'm working. When they're all on its daylight. No need for a worklight underneath whatever the project is.
The double bay side is nowhere near complete. It got too cold before I could get the epoxy on that side so it'll have to wait till spring.

Sorry Irish; you did make the thread. LOL.
Tires are under there for storage at this point because I don't have anything set up.
I work in printing so the poster is from a the Chicago Print Expo. I have another one similar in size except its the ALMS Porsche Penske Spyder DHL car. I love huge posters like that. I'm thinking about having a huge wall sized mural of an old school European race in progress spray painted on the double bay wall. I'd love to have a lift now but it'll probably be a year or two.
What are you doing to the Chariot now Ceasar?

wow! Broaner, you are a freak! next time I am home, I'll have to stop by and check out your ol' school driving again! you got a hood yet? by the way, we close on the new house this week...for now it's only a 2 car, but in about a yr, the 4 car is coming across from the house...pics will be coming soon.
by the way, I know what you were talking about when you started building this...with nobody working in there until you had the epoxy down...i had 3 kits under my xmas tree! no cars aloud until it's done! what brand did you use and how easy was it to apply? did you etch first?

Sweet man. Congrats on the home.
For the epoxy I used Rustoleum two part epoxy sheild. Each kit comes with a mild etching solution. The instructions indicated that on new construction unsealed concrete nothing more than a mild etching is required. I used two kits to cover my 12x27' single bay area. The kit said it would cover 400 sq ft but it didn't seem to cover that well for me. I was so concerened while I was applying it that the coverage wasn't even so I felt that I had to keep going over it. Luckily I had bought two kits because I used almost all of both. Probably not neccessary but it turned out totally consistant and its extremely durrable. Not a roller edge anywhere on the entire floor. It isn't coming up either despite the extremely thick coat. At the time that I purchased those kits I was unaware of the "professional" grade kits also made by Rustoleum. When I do the double bay side I will use this stuff. It is nearly $100 per kit but if I never have to screw with it again its well worth it.

That's what I got for xmas...I have 3 kits...Hope that does it on my 20/20. I got the tan because it goes with the house color..."queer eye for the garage guy" recommended it! They only had 3 kits left, so now I am thinking I should exchange for the grey and get 4 kits. I'm uploading pics to snapfish now...post some in a bit.

Wow, I'm so envious of even the carports. The best I get right now is gravel. My dad tried to build a 'garage' one time and we laid down pavement and everything. He built it at the bottom of a hill with a backyard that had little to no greenery. Needless to say, after the first good rain, we didn't know where the pavement went, all of the little trickery ways of deterring water and mud didn't work, and as I told him from the beginning, wise man build house on top of hill. Wish I had pics to share but we've long since moved.

Watch out or I'll come up and gank that cherry picker! Better chain the sucker to the wall with a rottwiller next to it.

It only gets cold at night during winter times. It averages out mid 20 to mid 30. During the day, mid 40 to mid 50s. And summer times, it sucks without air conditioning. I live out in the boonies (50acres). So of course I have my watch dogs running around. My house is about 300 yards to the left of the small tree in the middle of the picture. Its too bright in the picture to see, but I have a perfect clear view of the garage from my back porch. One way in, one way out. My sks is pretty darn accurate too.
