Examine my timeslip please - 15.588 - 97 auto

this is my fist time at the track and here is my fastest time (im on the right lane)http://images.cardomain.com/installs...60_66_full.jpg

97 gxe AUTO- Manually shifted with OD off,
mods are PR midpipe/stillen intake, y-pipe, stillen muffler, heavy 16x7.5 (37psi), FULL tank of gas.

I just want to know how good is this time for the mods I have? any ways to improve?

Pretty good run for an auto max, that's about what a stock 5spd would run.

umm... thats what a stock 5spd would run with a bad driver!!

You have room for improvement. Lower your tire pressure in the front and work on your launches. Run with a 1/4 tank of gas and take your spare and jack out of the trunk. And practice, practice, practice.

With my old auto I was able to pull a 10.087 at 72mph in the 1/8 when it was stock. Never got to run it in the 1/4.

With your mods if you get your 60ft down you should run high 15.3's to low 15.4's. Good luck!

i was gonna say, if it was his first time driving stick

15.3's are definitely within range with those mods.

like victim said...lower the tire pressure on the front tires to 22-27psi (around there) and that should help your launch.

other than that...pretty good for the first time!

Thanks guys. The only "race prep" I did was remove everthing in my trunk and that was it. I wanted to leave the car exactly how I have it everyday so that explains my full tank and tire pressure. Next time however Ill try all that and hopefully Ill see. low 15s
