I would say a 2000rpm launch (slipping the clutch a little) and shifts at 1-2 6500, 2-3 6500, and 3-4 6300 should net you a 14-second slip.

Re: launch revs and shift revs
Mike - I had my first-ever track runs at 75/80 a few weeks ago. My first launch was about 2200rpm resulting in plenty of wheel spin and hop (and a 2.52 60'). My best launch was when I slipped the clutch from about 1500rpm (2.28 60'). Check my earlier post for details.
I practiced launching at different engine speeds for about a week ahead of time and but I think 75/80 is just slippery. Also, I was losing traction and getting hop on the 1-2 shift every time and on my second run I thought I lost traction on the 2-3 shift. I think I'm gonna try MD National or Capitol in the Spring.

Yeah, the general consensus is that 75-80 dragway sucks, so you won't get very good times there. I work right down the street from it in Germantown, but have never bothered to go. The better track around here is Capitol Raceway, but of course it's always busy. You just can't win. lol
As for the best 2k2 6spd shift points, here is what CarTest2000 spits out with an actual dyno plot entered into it.
1-2: 6600rpm @ 40mph (redline)
2-3: 6420rpm @ 63mph
3-4: 6240rpm @ 86mph
You should be finishing in 4th. Also keep in mind that more than a few people have reported that the tachometer on the 2k2 is off (on the slow side) by a good bit. The limiter is supposed to be just past redline (pretty sure of this), but some people have reported that they have been able to take it all the way to 7000rpm, which means the tach is off by about 400rpm or so. So keep that in mind as well. You might want to "test" this for yourself once and see where the rev limiter is, and then use that as your reference point.
As for launch RPM's, it really depends on the track and how much grip it has. The VQ35DE has so bloody much low-end torque that you really don't need to rev it all that much. Probably just a quick clutch drop from 1500-2000rpm would do the trick. CarTest2000 says you can get a 2.25s 60' with a clutch drop from 1200rpm. It's launch algorithms aren't the best
The "average" times for 2k2 6spds seem to be about 14.5 @ 97, and indeed, this is exactly what CarTest2000 spits out. But your results may vary widely. I hear from many that the shifter really sucks and it's easy to miss/grind gears, so that takes away from the consistency. But one guy said he missed third and still managed to run a 14.8
Anyhow, good luck!
