Who would win...?

An auto 96 Maxima with intake and y pipe, or a 94 5spd Civic with headers, exhaust and cold air intake?

definitely the maxima by far. A auto max stock can beat a 5spd civic with intake, exhaust etc.

Civic is junk.
That race shouldn't even be close.

How many stickers does the civic have?

Definitely the Maxima. I have an auto '96. I raced a newer style Civic 5spd with i/e/h awhile back. I had ypipe, intake, and exhaust. We raced a number of time, each time I won, wasn't even close actually. The guy just kept asking for more even though I clearly beat him two or three times in a row. I didn't even manually shifted it, just left it in Drive. Futhermore, my car wasn't running right at the time either. That was before I changed my fuel filter, knock sensor, PCV valve, and spark plugs, basic tuneup stuff. So if I could beat the guy with those problems, just imagine if my car was running right.

The maxima should win. A 94 civic, let's say its an SI with the stock engine in there and then the bolt ons you mentioned, is at best a 15.7 car. The maxima should be in low 15s if he gets a good launch.

The Maxima will win.

Just make sure you get off the line w/o spin.

When I had my 99 Max, I use to race my friend from college everyday on the way home. At that time, I had VB mod, Y-pipe, CAI, & 100 shot (I never needed to spray on him). He had a 2K Si w/ intake, header, & catback. He never had enough to pull past me. Around 80mph or so I would pull an extra car or two on him.

He is nothing unless he has a swapped motor.

I ran 16.2 @ 85 in a bone stock 95 EX on 25lb 17" wheels, my first time racing EVER, with a best 60' time of 2.36. So no, they don't all run 17.5 if there's a competent driver. Like I said above, if its an SI (lighter than my EX with the same motor) and minor mods it could be a 15.7 second car with a good driver.

Since you can get about 6 different engines in 94 civics, you can't really generalize what they run. 16-20 seconds is the range.

I think I speak for everybody out here when I say Neal is full of it. A stock 95 civic will no way in hell run 16.2.

You got me. I'm full of it. Not like I have 120 1/4 mile passes in the last year alone or anything. I have no clue about drag racing. Please forgive me.

Fine if no one is going to say than I will:

IT DEPENDS ON THE DRIVER AND HOW THEY DRIVE THE CAR.
