RPM, not RPM's

 

Whats up guys? I was out at Sacramento Raceway the other day and saw this guy run in the Altima. Much to my dismay, he was eating me up every time. It was, however, my first run and I got a best time of 14.76 with only an intake. I need to work on my launch technique and maybe shifting. He did do what he said though. Ran consistently better times than my Maxima. Great job and a cool guy. I look forward to improving my times now.

 

what RPM do you hold the engine at when launching?

 

i would say around 3500 rpm...give or take....

350Z isn't all motor? they don't have a SC or turbo....so how isn't it an all motor?

I guess I don't know what "all motor" means.

I thought it meant Normally Asirated. and I'm positive a 350Z has done better than 13.82 without forced induction or NOS. Don't have any proof, but they were testing out at 13.9 in some of the magaizines STOCK, and with air filter, and exhuast work, should EASILY get 2 tenths of a second off that time.

SCC mag did one...and they weren't faster then my car. even with exhuast..i know what all motor means VQ...i just haven't seen a faster one....i'm sure they r out there..if not, then somebody will be faster in their Z car....but i KNOW this..i have the FASTEST VQ 4 door ALL MOTOR..bar none.....

That's a pretty big claim don't you think? Have you seen every Maxima/Altima's timeslips? Most of the fastest and nicest car's out there are not on these types of websites.

 

i know............but why can't nebody just say good work...or fast times?....But mostly what i hear is a bunch of cry babies ( there were a few cool maxi. guys) ...or people callin me a liar.....i guess thats what i get for driving a Altima..

When are you going to the track next? I live fairly close to Sac and would love to see u run your altima.

 

i think maybe in a month or so...when i can get some time off work and go on a wensday night...I'll post on the 1/4 mile forum here in case ne body cares to see the car run....and Ewood420 who also has a pretty quick Alty..is gonna be goin up that way soon...from what he said....

Thanx... as far looks i didn't do ne thing ...but the Titanium exhuast canister kinda gives it away....a bit...but other then that its slow lookin...and thats just fine with me...

 

now it's 4 door...first you make the claim of being the fastest all motor VQ period...

in any event i'll be running the 350Z once the track reopens locally (damn snow ) just an FYI SCC mag threw a porsche exhaust on that Z and made LESS power w/ it hence the slow times. I know guys are getting good numbers w/ the ACTUAL aftermarket parts designed FOR the Z.

in any event those are good times but don't come on here talking big and bad cause 9 times out of 10 those are the ones to get shot down

 

Hey...The people that first came on my block talkin big n bad r u Maxi.guys...thats what i said in my first post...so all i'm doin is returin the favor.... i don't think my cars big and bad, its just a stock lookin SE Alty...... but maybe u haven't read the posts of me wishin good luck to people on beatin my times..... cuz i know my ets r beatable...but i also know i have only two mods..

How do we know that he isn't the OTHER guy on the timeslip?

The reason that people can't just say "Good Job" or whatever, is that you immediately made the claim that you were the FASTEST VQ out there.

I hate to break it to you, but I'm pretty darn certain that you aren't.

And I think you meant QUICKEST. And even still, you most likely aren't.

FAST = top speed
QUICK = low E.T./acceleration (time to distance)

There is no better way to pump u Maxima guys up other then makin waves, in ur perfect world, and that was the point of my thread, i want all of ur cars to take it up a notch, so we don't get our a** handed to us by neons. As far as the quickest 4 door all motor title. I may have it, i may not, it depends who u talk too, but i really don't care..since this is my slower family car. In fact i hope alota u guys get pumped and go to the track and run quick, thats my point.

Who cares about the 5 hundredths of a mile per hour discrepancy. 13.82 @ 102.xxx is all that really matters.

 

 

A 350Z ran 13.7 stock a few months back...but I guess 2 door VQs don't count eh?

I was on slicks but I get a little break since I'm an auto . My high trap for the day was 99.97 still no were near 102 but I have ****ty gearing . GL in beating my time as I hope to beat it next weekend. I will post slips either tonight with my digi cam or scan them tomorrow at work.
