What should I have run???(pic)
This was my best run last friday at etown
1.032
2.317
6.378
9.713
73.07
12.578
15.001
92.24
The reason my 60' were so bad because I had my 48pound 17s on. This was my best run of the day. Out of the 10 runs I got, 4 of them were 15.0xx. My highest mph was 92.78 and my best r/t was a .542. The above timeslip was my best 1/4 time and 60'
What do you think I can run if I put my stock 15s back on and bring my 60' down to like 2.2 or 2.1???

Yeah you'd be good for 14.8s with a low 2.2 high 2.1. Not sure how much lighter your 15s are but 48lbs is pretty heavy. Try em out. I gain about .5mph and .1second going from 38lb 17s to 30lb 15s, 60' times being equal.

Thanks.
I asked my bro and cousin(who are serious dsm car freaks!) and they said that on average, every .1 off the 60' is .2 off the 1/4 time. If that is true, then I can run a 14.6 or better if if I get a 2.1 60'. Also, another huge factor was the temperature. It was 93 degrees when I ran that 15.001. Thats pretty damn hot. If it's like 60 degrees and what my bro said was acurate, then I can run about 14.4-14.5.
-Paul
If I run a 14.4, will I have the quickest 1/4 time for a 5speed Maxima with i/y?????

don't get ahead of yourself there hotrod. :-) There is one guy with only intake that ran a 14.69. You are in the ballpark, but i'll tell ya 2.1 60' times are hard to acheive. You will probably do real good tosee some low 2.2's

To answer your question I ran 14.41 with intake and Y pipe but I was trapping quite a bit higher, 95mph, 96 in really good weather.

i think it was just the weather man. i ran 15.0 twice at Etown last week. and i was driving awesome. i only ran twice. it was 93 degrees and 70% humidity when i was there. everyone was running slow.
neal, rudy hit 2.0xx on streets! he is a Maxima god tho.
also Etown is slow...people run .1-.2 slower than ATCO on average i would say.
neal also why dont you think you could lose .2 sec...i think its very possible. i was told one time every 10 degrees is about a tenth. not sure its that much but it definitely hurts you bad. check out my homepage and under trips to the track you will see my experience at etown last week.
12.4 camaro went 13.0
hooked up viper went 12.9
E46 M3 went 14.2
R33 Skyline GTR went 14.2
Lancers EVOs in the high 14s.
Type Rs in the mid 15s.
I didnt see anyone race well. combo of weather and not a great track.

I can tell you right no you will never hit 2.10 without slicks. You'd have to be a god at launching to get 2.15. 2.18 or so is about the best you can realistically expect out of a max unless you are the man.

Rudy hit 2.09 once, ever, he is the man at launching and is normally in the upper 2.1s and low 2.2s. That is all that can be reasonably expected.
As for the times you saw from other cars at the track, weather has nothing to do with:
A)people that are ******* drivers
B)a track that sucks

I have found this to be fairly accurate for my car too.
