'95 Maxima -vs- '95+ 240SX

How would a maxima with a Y-pipe do against a stock 240sx. Assuming both are auto? What if the 240sx had an SR20DET swap?

i have a 93 240 5 speed that ran 15.5 w/ injenCAI and 15.9 bone stock after doing all my mods bored 20 over, port, polish pretty much everything but the turbo and ran 14.9 but as for the swap i would say that the max better have a ton of mods to keep up w/ the turbo

Depends on which model 240 you are talking about, S13, S14, S15 and which SR20DET as well. Stock i'd take a stab at mid 14's, but keep in mind most people mod it before they put it in because it's a lot easier to do when the engine is out.

I dont' know anyone who would spend the money and time to do a motor swap like that and leave it stock for even a few days. That motor wants to be modded! Don't you agree??

So the 240 with an SR20DET swap should run in the mid to low 13's? Possibly high 12's?

Heck no. SR20DET powered S1x should and can run high 13's, low 14's at 100mph. These engines are rated at 205hp and up, and weighing in at around 3000lbs, when equipped w/these engines, these cars can be made quick, but no stock blue/black/red top SR20DET will get you high 12's.

MAYBE, Maybe a lightly modded,slicked RB26DET powered S1x might run you a high 12.

My brothers s13 sr20det red top (stock T25, not T28 like posted earlier) with FMIC, 3" down pipe back, on 1 bar which dynoed at 225hp, ran a 13.9 @ 101mph....many guys have ran better with the same setup. Those cars weigh less than 3000lbs easy...my brothers weighs 2700.

A stock 240 is good for mid 15's if their lucky, most I see run 16's.

my 240sx ran a 15.6 best with exhaust, gutted cat, sts, and injen intake. alot of my friends have sr20det 240sx and one has a rb25det, the rb motor is still being built but the fastest sr 240sx is 13.3 nothin major, just alot of bolt-ons, hes still working on a ball bearing turbo, and the fastest sr motor in my area is a 13.2 200sx se-r, bad lil car ill tell you that much
