Need help figuring out 0-100 times for stick and auto 02-03 Maximas. Anybody know????

Hey all.

A friend of mine who mag races told me that although an Auto Max can do the 1/4 in 14.7 at 93-94, the 0-100 times for Auto is closer to 17 seconds. He says he has analyzed patterns and increments, and this is his best guess.

Can someone quote times, or look in their program for 1/4 times and find out 0-100mph time for a car doing a 14.7 94 with a 2.25 60' time??

I find it very hard to believe a car can get to 95 mph in 14.9 or 15.0, and it takes two whole seconds to for another 5mph. Any help?

Fernando.

By the way, I can't wait to get next to a Forester 2.5XT and new Supercharged Monte Carlo SS at the track. I have learned from experience that these two cars are very formidable

Ceasar, I need your kill forum again! <wishes there was a kill forum>

I don't have a 02-03, but I have the G-timer which tracks speeds. Your friend is probably right on with his calculations. I run the 1/4 in 13.9-14.0, at 98MPH. The timer clocks my car at 0-90 in 11.5 seconds and the 100MPh at 14.4. My 80mph time is 9.0, 70 at 7.0, 60 at 5.3. As the speed gets higher it takes longer to get to the next mark. Since it takes my Max 2.9 seconds to go from 90-100, I would say probably 1.6-1.7 seconds from 95-100. Since your car is slower, it probably takes about 2-2.1 seconds for you to reach 100 from 95.

Thanks for explaining, that makes more sense. I guess the old guy (my friend) does know what he's talking about.

Just ran a "stock" 2k2 Max (240 hp, 265 torque), a "slightly modded" max (255 hp, 275 torque) and a significantly modded (285hp, 295 torque) max on cartest.

The stock one: 90-100 takes 3.3 seconds and 0-100 takes 16.8 seconds.
Modded one: 3 seconds and 0-100 takes 15.3 seconds.
Very modded one: 2.7 seconds 90-100, and 13.7 seconds 0-100.

Car test usually runs very accurately for times. So go by those, but of course they'd vary some with conditions
