Ok, last week I went to the track completely stock and ran a 15.91 @ ~89MPH.
Then, i got my GReddy Exhaust and hacked my airbox Thursday night. I wasn't sure how much of a difference I was going to see, i was guessing .2 or .3 seconds. But, on my first time down the track I went from a
(1st time at track)
R/T .... .857
1/4 .... 15.916
mph.... 88.97
to a
(2nd time at track)
R/T .... .803
1/4 .... .15.435
mph.... 90.98
I was so freaking surprised, and so was the Prelude that was up against me. I feel better really, knowing my track numbers justify how much I spent on my exhaust :P LOL. Anyone else get these gains from just exhaust and a hacked airbox?

The gains might not be from just the mods, what were the 60ft times for the runs as well as the weather conditions for both days.

I'm not sure what the temperature was, but it was fairly cold last night. The first time I went it was much more cold b/c I had to wear a sweater and run my heater while in the staging lanes.
Here's the complete rundown from both slips. ( I did 3 runs each night but these were my best times )
(1st time at track)
R/T .857
60' 2.478
330 6.819
1/8 10.360
MPH 69.77
1000 13.385
1/4 15.916
MPH 88.97
(2nd time at track)
R/T .803
60' 2.432
330 6.585
1/8 10.015
MPH 71.80
1000 12.958
1/4 15.435
MPH 90.98
And from what I was told by more than one person at the track, Atlanta Dragway is a slow track due to elevation and such. Not saying that's why my car is suh-low, but I guess it's a factor?

Yeah, the mods definately gave some improvement. You need to work on your launch and you will run even better. Shoot for 2.2 60 ft times. Atlanta dragway is a pretty slow track form what I have seen, you would run much better at reynolds or steele, al. High 14's are definately possible for you.
The track I normally run at is still closed because they changed the first 1/8th mile in both lanes from asphalt to concrete. I don't really live close to any tracks so it will take a while for me to find the time to go. I have missed the best times to go because it is starting to get hot again.

When are you taking the 5spd to the track? It's gotta be track season where your at.
Atlanta Drag from what I hear is definitely slow from what I heard. A .orger was out there last night(Vtech I think, Sp?) and he said he ran .4 faster at SilverDollar , consistently. So I may venture out there and see what I can do.
