04 maxima se auto bone stock new best 1/4 time

dam i just keep getting better, with more miles on the car so i guess more broken in, i ran my car one last time.. new best 14.21 at 97 mph with a 2.0 60ft... previous best was a 14.48.. dropped the tire presure to 24.5, everybody said they where hooking up great so i figured id try something different.. usualy ill get the rpms up to 2300 light will turn green jump off the brake give it some gas when i feel like i have traction nail it.. this time rpms up light turned green nailed it right off the line... i got the perfect amount of wheel spin and just hooked and went, i also did this with the shifter in tiptronic leaving it in first gear and letting it shift.. usualy i leave it in drive.. i was shocked as hell... now i think im #2 in the top 10 fastest times, i think one person beat my time so far.. i dont at all think i have a freak but i do think the hp rating in these cars are highter than they say.. now lets hope the altima se-r thats coming out cant beat our maximas... my avg was 14.3s with 2.1 60fts. temp in the mid 60s

Great time.

I think the Auto's are easier to launch, and they don't seem to suffer much from driveline loss.

Good job.

thanks guys for the compliments... but the funny thing is the auto isnt easy to launch, i always thaught an auto was easy to launch until this car lol.. u can tap the gas pedal and the tires just spin.. my first run ever i just lit the tires up for about 100 ft. it took practice to get to the 14.2 trust me. i dont like beating on the car at all but now that im at the time where i wanna be, ill give my baby a rest lol..

Sure you'll give it a rest... you'll be itching for 13's soon. I just got my 14.4 and i'm itchin for a 14 flat now. Definatly attainable with new tires and headers. Then i'm gonna want to touch the 13's maybe by doin some weight reduction.... its addicting this racing thing.

aint that the truth. i thought id be happy with a 14.6 when i first went to the track then i hit 14 sec and still not happy. it just becomes a hobby after a while. i'll be going back next week to try and improve my times.
