Yeah, that 60' is horrible. A 2.7 60' means a Geo Metro could beat you in the first 60'. A decently quick person could outrun you past the 60'.

Are you spinning off the line? If so, stop what you are doing and don't be so greedy with the throttle. You have to baby it off the line. If you're torque braking then stop. It's not helping you at all.

i dont spin much, but you can hear squeal from the tires when i launch...Why is torque braking hurting my 60' and overall e.t? I was under the impression that it helps. If you could i would really like to get better. Thanx

Lorenzo

P.S. What would be the best shift points i go 6500 in 1st 6200 2nd?

either your tires are not in good shape or they do not have a good traction rating. your probably spinning your tires like crazy and dont even realize it. if your seriously trying to get some good numbers you got to come prepared. if you have drag radials or slicks then you can take off with some serious torque if not you have to finesse it. dont brake torque until you feel out the track find out your weak point this will take some practice. you will have a 15.5 or better car with just proper take off. when i first went to the track i started off at 14.6 and got it down to 13.5 with drag radials so it takes time and equipment. and p.s dont race nothing until you improve that 60' cause at this point a old lady with groceries will smoke you
