Good Day at the track!

Well all I got to say Sunday was a good day for me ran a best of 14.388@ 97.22 MPH 60': 2.271. My other two runs were a 15.337(****ed up my launch) and my second pass was a 14.472. I still think I could improve on my 60' times. I also want to try the drop resistor mod. Here are my specs:

2003 Maxima SE AUTO

Mods: Injen CAI and Hot Shot Headers (still waiting to put on my UD pulley)

BTW: The only weight reduction mod was removing jack, spare tire, and other loose items.

brake torque to 1500 rpm, feather the throttle in, once you feel you have good traction....punch it.

I think I could do better, I feel I can get 14.2,these HS Headers are the ****.
Tomorrow I'm installing UDP, so hopefully I can get back to the track real soon. BTW are you a 6-spd or auto and what are your mods.

You can see all my info here:

I am waiting on a set of HS headers myself but it looks like it might be longer than I expected. I have to substitute in 2 small mods in the meantime, which will most likely be a UDP and a 150 thermo.

Actually I'm going to install my UDP today.

That is very impressive, I'm jealous man! First off, did you have good weather, how was the humidity???

IMO, you could easily get loooooow 14.2's with some good rubber and a sticky launch. 2.27 is obviously nothing to get upset over, but you can do better probably. That trap is very nasty too.

Your headers are clearly making 25 flywheel hp, the trap is indicative of this. An intake 5.5th gen with good weather can trap 94, and you are doing at least 3 mph better. Good stuff man, your auto must be a killer on the top end too with such a healthy trap.

Thanks bro, the weather was pretty good(68 degrees, low humidity). Also E-town is real close to sea-level so that helps a ton. And I know I could improve on my 60' time. As far as the Headers are concerned, this is the by far the best bolt on you can get, if your building a NA beast, Headers is on top of the list. I just installed my UDP yesterday so I'm gonna hit up the track again real soon.

I got the special introductory price $500, plus $300 for installation...$800. No MAF problems here(knock on wood).
