stick/automatic?

For 2000 or later maxima,

Best stick skill vs. clueless automatic? Who will win?

Well, if you have one guy driving a manual and one guy driving an automatic. Assuming all other variables are the same (like cars/engine...), who will win? I'm just wondering with the technology as of now, can they create an automatic to beat a best manual driver?

it seems like the 2k4 guys are running better with the automatic. The 4 speed in the 95-2001 seem to not be that great.

so beside the stick is fun to drive, there's no real advantage in the race anymore? That's what I've heard but I didn't wanna believe .. love for the stick.

There is no exact anwser to your question.

For maxima purposes a stick will always be faster given equal 60' times and the manual tranny driver can shift fast and at the right point. The main reason being that conventional auto trannies lose more drive train power due to the torque converter.

There are "high tech" auto trans these day that are as good or better than conventional manual transmissions. Don't ask me to explain the technology because I don't know the particlualrs. But you only see these transmissions in high end cars at the moment.

In very high HP drag cars auto are the only way to go. There is no way your driving a stick on a 800hp pro-street car.
