16.2 1/4 mile is this normal?
i ran a 16.2 but i also have to say i had over a half tank of gas and it was 88 degreeze with 51 percent humidity and i ran 16.2 at84 mph my 60 ft was 2.41 ,330 ft was 6.9 1/8 mile was 10.6@69 1000 was 13.6 and over all was a 16.265 @ 84 mph is this normal or bad?
btw i have an automatic with an intake and drop resistor mod and just left it in drive and took off at about 1800 rpm and i have an auto with 130000 miles on it and ran crapy gas , i have a y pipe but it doesnt fit
so sad but im gunna fix that so ya and does anyone know what id run with less and better gas and the y pipe

my speed was 85 sorry i just looked at the slip but thats kinda slow too, but what should i do for a tune up i checked the plugs tehre all pretty much new condition i just got a new filter just serviced the tranny but i was thinking about putting syntehtic just changed my oil and i ran a 16.2@85 and that seems pretty slow for having an intake and a dr mod but you have to count in the ****y gas and high temp and wind its at infineon raceway (sears point) so its really bad conditions but still i just hope its not the tranny... that would not be cool
I ran 16's in my 97 SE auto the first trip to the track 2 years ago. When I finished the season it was running 15.1 N/A and 13.1 with nitrous so thats pretty normal. This is what mods I ended with.
1997 SE Automatic
---Budget Y-Pipe
---Budget B-Pipe, 2 1/2" Mandrel Bent T-304
---2k1 Muffler
---B&M 11x11 Transmission Cooler
---Place Racing Cold Air Intake
---Mickey Thomson 22x8x15's
---Nitrous Express(NX)Wet
$1240 invested in my performance mods.

Tranny cooler will not make your car faster bt it will keep your tranny lasting longer. A b-pipe will add 5 hp at the most.
what am i going to need to do to run 14's? i would really like to run atleast high 14's i know i wont get there with just these mods unless i had a 100 mph wind going in my direction lol but seriously i want to run some 14's
You should be leaving the line at the highest rpm possible without pulling through the brakes. Practice will yield better results. You will probably be able to get closer to 15.5 as it is now. UDP will help you get those RPM's up faster, and the b-pipe will help. Leaving OD off does nothing. All it does is keep you out of fourth gear, but you probably aren't getting there by the end of the track yet anyway.
