Off topic 1/4 mile results...

Yes, I am a 2002 Maxima owner, but
3 days ago I finally took delivery of my special order
2005 Legacy GT (sedan and manual)

Though I've only seen a couple tests of the LGT both getting low 14's at about 97 mph, I somehow knew the car was faster. Those two tests of the LGT were both done by two separate car mags on the SAME test mule car that had 5000+ (I'm sure heavily abused) miles.

Then I saw this:

http://www.legacygt.com/viewtopic.php?t=2833&highlight=

13.9 @ 100+ mph

On a completely STOCK Legacy GT
with only 1,100 miles on the car and in 88 degree weather at 2000 ft elevation.

Sweet Jesus....that means 13.7 @ 101 is possible with cooler weather, lower elevation and more miles on the odo.

I've only got 59 miles on my LGT so far....as much as I love the Maxima, this made me happy, and I felt I needed to share. Thanks

Cars are always faster than the ******* magazine drivers make them out to be. People who actually drive the car every day and are used to it and are experienced drag racers will always put down better times than automotive journalists.

Very nice cars and i wouldn't doubt those numbers are possible. Turbocharged cars are very reliant on weather conditions. Better conditions = better times so if you have that perfect day ...... the rest is up to you also like the previous post said drivers make a big difference too.

elevation doesnt make as much a difference in turbo cars, from what I've been told. But regardless, 13.9 is a good time!
